Fudge Recipe

The other day I wanted to make fudge, which is something I do every Christmas, but I did not have all the ingredients. However, I was able to create a recipe that is still good and a little chewy.

Ingredients:

4 squares unsweetened chocolate
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
3/4 to 1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:

Line a 8X8 pan with wax paper or foil (if using foil spray with some nonstick baking spray). Stir the condensed milk, chocolate, and sugar over medium heat, until the chocolate is melted and the sugar is dissolved. Stir often. Mix in the vanilla extract and chopped walnuts. Pour into the prepared pan, let sit for 10 minutes, then place in the refrigerator until set (a few hours). Once it is ready, pick up the paper or foil and turn the fudge out onto a cutting board, cut into squares.
